Before I go to the topic I just want to ask a question?

How creative are you?

Some older people or some of the guys I met in my age, says they have no creativity. I asked small kids and replied fast like they love drawing, they dream of becoming doctors, pilots ,teachers etc.

So my question is if we at young age have dreams, but now being big and mature we tend to lose our creativity. We lose our creativity as time goes. It’s two things we tend to be busy with our lives or we are so desperate for our future. As we were younger, our brain was growing and as it’s easier to learn when you’re younger.

Hence why we can learn a language if taught as a child, but it’s harder when you’re in high school. When we’re younger your creative flows, this is because our brain is kicking up information around us and shoving them together to make new things.

But as we grow older it’s harder to learn since our brain is getting set in stone. You can see things, but it’s harder to make new things out of them. You may be thinking of the saying “Younger people learn faster but older people use the information better.”. This is what’s happening to your creativity. We are living like a circus, our lives are always like a race, take an example of 3 idiots and you’ll understand.

I remember a friend of mine who I studied at my time in 12th standard. He and I were like brothers, he had a hard time understanding the subject but though he always had a gift to draw. His sketches were always in our college board and everyone is to appreciate him, though he was feeling difficult I told him to follow his dream and he joined interior designing now he used he’s creativity in having a job getting good salary. I felt so proud of him. See if you you don’t have the mind but have some Creativity , you can achieve anything.

Our creativity are often killed by schools. I’m aware that no education system is perfect, and I believe they are all the same across the world. We memorize, study for the test and forget, and again we study and again forget. That’s how we lose creativity.

Our methodologies in schools are demolishing creativity. Students have lost their capacity of creation simply because our teaching methods don’t stimulate innovation and creativity.

Creativity isn’t a test to take, a skill to learn, or a program to develop. Creativity is seeing things in new ways, breaking barriers that stood in front of you for some time. Creativity is the art of hearing a song that has never been written or seeing a work of art on empty canvas. Its essence is in its freshness and the ability to make dreams come to life. I read an interesting article which was spoken by sir Ken Robinson in which he explains about how schools kills creativity.

After we finish our college and get our degrees we start jobs where we need training in the the beginning but once we get the hang of it and the training stops .We get caught up in our jobs and sometimes find ourselves wanting so much to go back to our favourite places for our vacations instead of somewhere new.We are pulled to get together with old friends and make and keep traditions which means we have less time to meet new people.

The older we get the more we have to make sure we intentionally choose to set aside both the time and the energy to channel into creative outlets.

Anyone who says “I don’t have a creative bone in my body” is seriously underestimating their skeleton. More to the point, they are drastically undervaluing their brain.

Have you start to notice more things, once we made it a point to deviate from your routine at certain times.

So while routine is good, stagnation is not so going out for a walk can get you thinking again, and it’s the thinking that gets you creative. Go outside, sit on a porch, meet new people. Every one of those actions will give you new thoughts and ideas, and perhaps be the solution to a problem your creativity didn’t know it was having. So don’t regret in life try hard and use your creativity.
